A quick one about tomes and elite tomes......
This is a question about the value of elite tomes and normal tomes.
which is cheaper (for a normal tome), core profession tome or campaign specific profession tome?? And the same question for the elite ones ( I would also quite like the value for a ele or warriorelie tome) My theory is that core profession normal tomes are more expensive because there is more variety than campaign specific. And for elite tomes, campaign specific proffesion elite tomes are more expensive than core elite tomes, due to the "rarity" (not because they are really hard to get but because there aren't that many) of the elite skills . i am right??? I don't care if i am wrong, but i would like to know. |

there are no campaign specific tomes.....they are either regular or elite tomes (eg warrior elite tome will have all the warrior elites that you have unlocked on your account ----doesnt matter which chapter they are from).
and to answer the question, elite tomes are more expensive (eg will net more from other players if you sell them) than regular ones. |

The price of tomes really depends on what profession the tome is tied to. Ele, Monk tomes will sell for more than an assassin tome for example. It's not because they are core professions, it's just because more people have an elementalist or monk as main character. Meaning they are willing to spend more money for that character. Normal tomes are also cheaper than the elite tomes due to the amount of normal tomes around and also to the fact that you can buy a normal skill at any skill trainer and you have to cap the elite skill.

all normal tomes sell for anything less than 1k, usually around 500g, regardless of profession.
the profession of elite tomes can vary more though. monk and rit elite tomes go for around 10-15k each and all others are generally between 6-10k. it really depends on how long you want to wait while selling the tomes. i like to start at the higher end of the price and if i cant sell it, lower the prices some. |

Monk tomes are the priciest because there aren't a lot of pure monk mobs around that people can farm. |

no, but---------
if you have balthazar faction (for elites its what 6000? or 3000? never can remember).....you can unlock elites (and skills-1000 balt faction) from the chapters you own and then use the tomes. If you dont own the chapter, no. (I did this when nightfall came out as I didnt have a warrior and needed Koss to have some decent skills.....so I unlocked a bunch of warrior ones and got him started). |
